A committee app for keeping the record straight
Most committees do not fall apart over money. They fall apart over the record — two people remembering the same month differently, and nobody able to prove either version.
Short answer. A committee app keeps one shared record of every contribution: who paid, how much, on what date, with the receipt attached. Every member sees the same list, so nobody has to take the organiser's word for it. Laqfiz does this free, in a browser, with no download.
What actually goes wrong in a committee
Ask anyone who has organised one. The trouble is almost never the total. It is:
- A member is sure they paid in March. The organiser has no note of it.
- Someone joins in the middle and nobody agrees what they owe.
- The organiser is away, and nobody else can say what has come in.
- Screenshots of transfers sit in a WhatsApp group with four hundred other messages.
All four are record problems, and all four are solved by the same thing: one list, visible to everyone, that nobody can edit quietly.

How it works in Laqfiz
- Create the community. Give it a name, set the monthly amount, and pick the day of the month it is due.
- Invite the members. A link, sent however you already talk to them. Someone with no account gets one on the way in.
- Members pay and attach the receipt. A photo of the transfer, a screenshot, or a PDF from the bank.
- You approve it. The amount and the receipt are on one screen, with Yes and Not yet.
- The balance updates for everyone. Not just for you.
Cash still works
Plenty of committees are collected in cash at a meeting. An admin records those directly against the member, and the entry is marked as recorded by an admin rather than sent by the member — so a year later the history still says which payments came through a bank and which were handed over.
Somebody joining halfway through
By default a new member starts paying from the month they join. Whether they also owe the months before they arrived is a decision the community makes, not one the app makes for you — there is a switch in the community settings, and it is off unless you turn it on.
Common questions
Is Laqfiz free for a committee?
Yes. Starting a community, adding members, recording payments and reading the history are all free, with no card and no trial period.
Does everyone need to install something?
No. It opens in any browser from a link. Anyone who wants it on their home screen can add it in one tap, but that is optional.
Can the organiser change a payment after the fact?
An admin approves or rejects what members send, and every decision is recorded with a date and a name. Nothing disappears quietly.
What if a member pays in cash?
The admin records it against that member, and it is marked as recorded by an admin rather than sent by the member, so the history says which it was.
