Laqfiz

How Laqfiz works

Laqfiz keeps one shared record of money a community collects together. There are four ideas in it, and that is all.

Short answer. Laqfiz has four parts: a community with members, a monthly collection everyone owes, extra collections for one-off costs, and payments that members send and admins approve. Every payment carries a receipt, and every member sees the same record.

1. A community

A named group with members and admins. It has a monthly amount and a day of the month it falls due. An admin can approve payments and let people in; everybody else contributes and reads.

2. The monthly collection

Created automatically each month. Two ways of working out what each person owes:

A member owes from the month they joined. Whether they also owe earlier months is a switch the admin controls, off by default.

3. Extra collections

One-off costs — a repair, an event, an emergency. Separate from the monthly rhythm, with their own target and deadline, so somebody who does not contribute to an optional collection is never confused with somebody who has missed their dues.

4. Payments and approvals

  1. A member sends the money however the community normally does.
  2. They record it in Laqfiz and attach the receipt.
  3. An admin sees the amount and the receipt together, and approves or sends it back with a reason.
  4. The balance updates for everyone at once.

An admin can also record a payment on somebody's behalf — for cash, or for a member without a phone — and it is marked as recorded by an admin so the history stays honest about how it arrived.

It opens in a browser. Create a community, set the amount and the day, send the link to your members, and collect the first month. Adding it to a home screen is one tap and optional.

Common questions

Does Laqfiz move money?

No. Money moves the way it already does — bank transfer, wallet or cash. Laqfiz records it and keeps the proof.

Do admins pay too?

Yes. An admin is a member with extra responsibilities, and owes exactly what everyone else owes.

Can one person be in several communities?

Yes. One account, as many communities as you belong to, and one screen showing what you owe across all of them.

Laqfiz is free, and runs in your browser Start a community, invite the people in it, and every payment leaves a receipt everyone can see. No card, no download unless you want one.
